FCE / Work Conditioning
Work conditioning is a physical exercise program designed to restore specific strength, flexibility, and endurance for return to work following injury, disease, or medically imposed rest.
A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a performance-based measure of a worker’s ability to meet the physical and/or cognitive requirements for the job. The physical therapist will measure strength, balance, cardiovascular function, motion limitations, presence of pain, whether person can hear instructions or have problems seeing objects. The tests are done with the worker’s safety in mind.
